The Foundation outsources the processing of personal information as outlined below to facilitate the efficient handling of data.
In outsourcing agreements, the Foundation stipulates—according to Article 25 of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection and Article 26 of the Personal Information Protection Act—that personal data must not be processed for purposes other than the outsourced task, prescribes technical and administrative protective measures, limits re-outsourcing, manages and supervises the trustee, and outlines the responsibilities for damages, thereby ensuring secure handling of personal data.
Should there be any changes in the outsourced work or outsourcer, the Foundation will promptly disclose such information through this Privacy Policy.

In general, the Foundation processes and retains personal information until the withdrawal of membership or loss of member status by the data subject.
You may register as a member regardless of whether or not you choose to receive such information. If you do not agree, however, you will not be able to receive information and updates from the Hyundai Chung Mong-Koo Foundation’s scholarship website.
(Information related to application and activities, such as acceptance announcements, notices related to selection, and continuous support review information, will be sent regardless of consent/non-consent to marketing and advertising.)
(General) Scholars' Networking Program: Programs to exchange with scholars in Korea and abroad, such as summer camp, cultural experience programs, and certificate awarding ceremonies, are operated.
Undergraduate students: Partner university providing information on dormitory application - dormitory application (student) - expenses paid by the Foundation to the school (deducted from the settlement subsidy)
Graduate students: School dormitory or accommodations outside the school
Undergraduate students: School dormitory or accommodations outside the school (dormitory application to Yonsei University/Hanyang University)
In addition to support for tuition each semester, learning expenses, settlement expenses, and graduation incentives, scholars’ participation in international academic conferences is supported to help students focus on learning and develop academic competencies. Merit-based subsidies are also provided.
1. Scholarship for international academic conferences: Expenses up to KRW 2.5 million supported for students who are finally selected to participate in and give oral presentations at international academic conferences following a review by the CMK Foundation
2. Scholarship for excellent global activities: Scholarship of up to KRW 3 million provided following a review by the CMK Foundation as special reward or encouragement to students who displayed outstanding performances in international activities
CMK Foundation collaborates with the excellent universities below.

Undergraduate students: Korea University, Seoul National University, Yonsei University, Hanyang University
Graduate and undergraduate scholars are selected based on the following procedures.
Graduate students: Entrance to each partner university - recommendation by university - submission of application documents - review by the Foundation - final selection
Undergraduate students: Recommendation by university - submission of application documents - review by the Foundation - final selection - selection by each partner university
